Powdery Mildew - Ninebarks and surrounding plants

I have 7 Diablo Ninebarks that are infected with powdery mildew. They are about 3 ft tall.

So far I've been applying fungicide and pruning out infected areas.

Has anyone successfully controled powdery mildew and if so did it go away after persistant control?

Also should I be worried aobut the mildew spreading to surrounding plants? Snowmound Spirea, Celebration maple, dwarf korean lilac, blackhaw viburnum and autumn blaze pear are all within 12 ft of one of the infected ninebarks.
