Went to the zoo Friday, this is at the entrance. They're trying to make things a little tropical, of course, it early in the season still here, and we've gotten off to a really slow start.

Went to the arts festival over the weekend, we always go to bluegrass day. The headliner this year was Ralph Stanley for all you bluegrass officianados. Also saw a surprising awesome non-traditional bluegrass influenced band called Great American Taxi, who sounded more like the New Riders of the Purple Sage more than anything, a very good local band call the Mon River Ramblers, and several other sideshow traditional bluegrass band that played on other stages throughout the Arts Festival. For those who have never been to Pittsburgh, I suggest the Art Festival weekends. It's the largest in the country, lasting over 2 weekends, with live free continuous music every day, and a differenct theme every day. There's jazz, blues, rock and roll, symphonic music, etc... Always the first 2 weeks of June.

No actual pics of the arts festival, but this is in the square of the PPG building.

And finally after being turned off for 4 years of renovation, the fountain at the Point is back on. One of Pittsburgh iconic landmarks, it is the fountain right at the point where the Three Rivers meet.
