Ate the first ripe (almost) peach today.

Unlike last year, when we had a tremendous set of peaches and didn't spray so watched the brown rot and Japanese beetles destroy the crop, Dh sprayed the tree at least three times with Neem this year starting at bloom drop. And then thinned and thinned again and propped boards under the sagging limbs. So we're hopeful to have a good batch of peaches to put in the freezer. The one I ate today was still too firm and not quite ripe, but pretty good anyway. It looked so pretty--all golden and red--that I just had to try it.
