thx shades. I'll stop by HD in a few days and see if they have the larger ones. Lowe's had a space for them but it had cafe rods in it. I need 2 of the larger ones for my west windows. I'm going to hang that foil looking insulation (lke for duct work) in those 2 windows during the summers - using tension rods. I can easily then take them down Oct - May. I'll have curtains up over them. I also don't have doors on my closets right now so I'm going to hang curtains there for now - to try and keep a bit of puppy fur out of them. probably a lost cause - lol! I think lowe's and my back door have a conspiracy against me. I can't see where the vinyl spline part is connected on the door frame on the hinge side. That one doesn't look damaged, so I'll just not replace it for now. I'll check to see if my front door needs it replaced on either side. The pkg comes with 2 long (hght) sections and a short one for across the top. There have been several times when i've thought I'd just forget vinyl or laminate flooring and put down carpet (when lowe's or HD have a pay to install 1 room and the others are installed free) just to have it over and me not the one doing it. That thought doesn't usually last long tho. The thought of all that hair, dirt and dust from puppy and the desert is more than I can bear anymore.

WOW I am so glad you chose the tan grout. I think it is perfect to tie all the colors together and still not be too dark. I love your back splash. I just can not believe you have never done this before. It looks like you have already had years of practice. You certainly have a knack for putting colors and patterns together. HU-891276262 - I too am interested in her comments. She does have an extended reach Waterstone faucet. That should help. She does, however, have a brushed stainless steel on her sink. That finish is easily scratched and difficult to repair. We also offer a hand-finished stainless that is very easy to repair. Brushed stainless has a linear grain pattern, which requires a professional to repair a scratch. We also offer a hand-finished stainless that has no pattern, so simply going over a scratch in a random pattern with the ScotchBrite pad we send with the sink will take care of scuffs and scratches easily and quickly. The key to avoiding issues with the front of metal farm sinks is a faucet that will drop the water in the center of the bowl. Most people would not have to lean on the apron to use the sink.

I have a few...including a hybrid Swoe and a home-made wire cutter for dealing with a deeply annoying ubiquitous brassica type weed which has a tough but thin fibrous stem - the wire collar acts like a noose or snare and yanks them out of the ground rather than cutting through. I keep them sharpened on my bench grinder so that they are essentially a knife on a stick. I also have a short handled onion hoe for getting up close and personal (and avoiding mad chopping accidents which are only too common with a lethally sharp hoe and myopic enthusiasm). I like to cut sowing drills and earth up the spuds with a 6inch draw hoe.
