I only have the plain green ones and violet stemed ones up. I dug mine too and they all dried up but a few peices and I planted those out the end of April and they haven't come up yet. Someone told me just this week in zone 8 that the ground has to stay warm before they will come up and his weren't up either.

this is the 23rd, and mine still arent up, planted in the ground in april, i probably should have planted in container.might have had better luck-notice i said "might".

My son had some given to him that he just got in the ground about three weeks ago. However,his dogs have been trying to dig the bulbs up so we may not have anything at all!

My blue stemmed ones are about a foot or taller that were left in the ground. I have a few more up and they are the same thing. There is one other one that came up today and I'm not sure yet what it is but it's different than the blue stemmed (I called them violet stem before) or the common green. I'm south of you in zone 7 so it's probably still a little early. Maybe in a couple of weeks or so?

I have 4 black elephant ears and it has been a struggle keeping rollie pollie bugs from eating new leaves. The plants are about a foot tall and I believe 3 out of 4 are goihg to make it.

Mine finally came up the 12th of june. Some little running ones that I had left in ground came up at same time. Seemed awfully late.

I just bought some elephant ears that were pretty large I put them in a larger pot and now they are all dried up and culing up and dying what do i do.
