Moths under Maples

dottyinduncan

The last few nights have been damp and warm and there are hundreds of moths dancing under the big leaf maples. Since these trees get lacy leaves during the summertime, I presume that these moths lay eggs and the larvae eat the leaves in the summertime. Any idea what they are and what we can do about them? These are very old, very big trees. Would one of those lights that attract moths work?
