aggressive groundcover disposal

I have a huge patch of euyonmyous coloratus fortunei (wintercreeper) on a slope that I am constantly battling to keep it from going into the woods and strangling trees and shrubs in its path. I know well why its on the invasive list!

Early last spring I pulled out a lot of it and stuffed it in large black contractor bags. I figured it had to die before I piled it on the pile. I just looked inside the bags and the stuff is still growing. White sprouts. amazing! I think one of my bags may have been from last year even.

Now I have decided to get rid of it completely. I found a teenager to pull it out for not too bad money. He did a patch of about 100 square feet in an hour and half. It filled two bags.

But the remainder of what I have is about 6-7 times that.

Any ideas how to go about this without collecting all those bags? Should I apply brush killer first and wait? is it too late in the season for that? other plant murder methods?

anyone want some? LOL! Only kidding!!
