There are experts who specialize in hardy eucs. So many wonderful varieties! We're newbies. Loved the eucs in Arizona / California, very glad some grow here. Was only going to try a couple but auspicious fortune smiled upon us the day we ran into Frank the Eucalyptus Man at Cistus on Sauvie Island. So now we have a beginner's assortment of baby eucs growing in the yard and want to post pictures and hear from any of you who have observed any PacNW eucs growing. Also please correct any of the following info I got wrong, thx!
Planted September 16, 2007:
Euc scoparia (Wallangara White Gum), Mt Norman Qld, fast growing to 45' tall, broad canopy, attractive white bark, sun, moderately moist soil, glossy semi-weeping bright shining sparkling green and scarlet foliage
Euc niphophilia, Guthega treeline 1924m, parents took -21C, -6F, (Snow Gum), gets 80' tall, white-orange-yellow bark, does not like wet feet
