We met DODY today

We went to meet Dody and her Angora Bunnies today. We had such a nice time, and the kids LOVED playing with Dingus, and Mommy loved the free poo ;). Here is a pic. Adam fell on the playground Friday so his face is all messed up right now.

I also liked seeing the beds of another SF/raised bed gardener here in my area. She has a cold frame with gorgeous lettuces growing. I almost pulled a fork out and sat down.

Glad you got to meet Dody, very pretty kids, very pretty rabbit, and I bet it is pretty Poo also.

I think it is so nice for the forum members to meet in person. So far I have only met Busy1, it was a nice meeting.

Yep, that was Mrs. No and I would guess that Sister Marlene can tell you as well why I call her that. I also suppose that everyone's spouse will be a little less concerned about the 'affair' that Marlene and I have and have been having :-) I just wish we could have stayed longer and that it had not been so (*$&(# hot. She and hubby honey have some really neat stuff - and they have a very nice daughter as well in case anyone has a son/grandson that wants their own "Oscar". Does that give her name away!

Having met you both and remembering the wonderful time we had with the passion for gardening that we share...brings back this big smile on my face. I am glad that I did not keep you to long and spoiled your trip to Beevile. Will you belief it when I tell you that I still have not been able to buy the garage door openers? Yupp. The guy who knows the ins and out has a few days off. I can not wait to see all those beautiful ROS etc grow and bloom. Thank you both for those great big plants. They will have a beautiful home here. You know I am looking forward to lunch with both of you soon and I sure hope I can talk Kristy into coming too :-) Hugs Lucy

Even with a depressed economy, $80 a square foot is very very cheap, (read: TOO cheap) especially in Florida where additional high winds/hurricane requirements and permits jack everything up to begin with. Even here, where we only have minimal seismic/high winds requirements and cheap permits, $80 a square foot would be builder's grade choices for everything, and a LOT of DIY. I'd be very leery that this low bid would not be based on reality and a detailed spec'd out plan. Remember, in cost plus, he has NO incentive to save you money whatsoever. It's actually an incentive to bid unrealistically low, because you'll end up footing the difference between his generic specs and what you really want. Only 176 pages of specs given to contractors with every little detail already decided will let you realistically compare bids in a cost plus situation.

What fun! Jo, your kids are always so precious and adorable, and what a beautiful rabbit Dody has!

Y'all know that we have an annual gathering in OKC in the spring, don't you? We used to call it a Plant Swap, but last year renamed it the Spring Fling and we have a lot of fun. It is a great time to meet everyone, to see old friends again, share a potluck meal, and bring home plants and all kinds of other stuff in the form of door prizes. It usually is held sometime in April.

well, i must say that those kids are almost as cute as mine were at the age!! :)

i had a wonderful time as well, jo. as did dingus - he spent the rest of his day flopped over on his side in "happy bunny land". :)

i don't normally brag on other people's children, but i have to with these kiddos! they were incredibly gentle with dingus. not once did i have to say "don't pet so hard, or don't pull his ears", or anything. even when they were playing 'i'm gonna get you' with him, they were gentle!

you and yours are welcome anytime! let me know when you need more poo - i'm sure they're out there making us more brown jelly beans right now! lol :)
