Richie, do you mean the Small Space/Urban Gardening forum? I never knew this existed. (I just went and looked, lol!)

I have a large yard, but limited sun, so I'm always looking into "small space" articles, posts, etc., especially for vegetables.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. It might give me a few ideas other than square-foot gardening!

If you have a chance to read Helen Dillon's books, she has (or had) a famous though tiny city garden in Ireland. She's a good writer - and her books are really inspiring. I've got a few others on the subject of small gardens, like Heyward's 'the intimate garden' - this is an up and coming topic.

Dillon has really mastered the art of layered plantings that pack a lot of plants into a relatively small space.
She also recommends breaking some rules, and using some large scale plants instead of too many diminutive and fine-textured plants, which I think is a really important point when you're designing a small space.
