Has anyone ever grown snow peas for fall harvest?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has ever sown peas in the (late) summer in order to get a fall harvest. I figure that the timing is kind of tricky since snow peas don't like temperatures over 70 (I believe). If I want to do this, when in late summer is best?

I think this planting will be mainly for the edible pea vines rather than pods, so perhaps it won't need as long to mature. Anyway, any advice you can give is appreciated!

Also as a side note, does anyone know of a good remedy for pea weevils? They kind of chewed up my pea plants this spring. The only solution I have found anywhere is row covers.
