Garden Center Adventures

IÂve been hitting many of the local NH & MA garden centerÂs recently. What fun IÂve been having finding fun and unusual plants. So far IÂve just been buying trees and a few shrubs and then I will fill in with perennials and annuals later. IÂve only been looking at the "less common" type.

Countrybrook Farms in Hudson NH has been where I have found the best/most exciting choices. I got a fabulous Weeping Redbud tree, a Purple Beech, a dwarf very colorful Crabapple named Genavere (may not be spelled right) some PJMÂs called Landmark, and really vivid pink dwarf AzaleaÂs called Saybrook Glory, a dwarf Mt Laurel, a Daphne, and a Harry LauderÂs Walking Stick.

I found some great plants at Depot Farm in Merrimack, NH Â Lilac named Josee that should bloom all summer, and a Vibunum called Shasta that should be fabulous. Stephen was extremely helpful.

Is anyone else out here finding great sources for non-typical plants?
