Sorry to tell you that there are not many roses larger than Paul's Himalayan Musk. Mine is about 40' x 40' growing high up into cedar trees. Spectacular though. Maybe you do have something large there by your garden for it to grow on??? Also, I am not sure how hardy it is. A once blooming rambler (also not in your criterior) in a garden where it dies back, I doubt will ever bloom. Sorry that's my downer on PHM. Though it is pretty gorgeous in my garden. I love most of the Austins for fragrance and beauty of bloom. Hopefully someone else will help you with disease resistant roses. That one, is the toughy! Good Luck. Pauline

I grow both! Darlow's has just fully leafed out. It's always my latest leafer, latest bloomer but the only one that blooms consistantly all summer. I love it for the tiny little roses and mine has a BIG rose scent. Veilchenblau grows by the driveway and I"ve been pruning it torturously back every year the the fence. It's not large at all and trying to sucker because I cut it back so much. It is GORGEOUS in bloom and never has a single foliage issue all summer, except that it doesn't bloom again. Like the others, my Darlow is very disease resistant but it is the only rose to get powdery mildew if we had a lot of moisture in summer, and that is the only time it gets any spray (of powdered milk and water). I think there's a photo of that and the Mozart rose on the driveway arch somewhere on this forum!

Hi Lisa, I'm interested in these: Viburnum tinus 'Spring Bouquet' Lonicera nitida 'Red Tip' Weigela, red (no ID) and if no other takers, 1 of your Leycesteria formosa and a Buddleia globosa What plants are you interested in? Have you tried brugmansias? (require winter storage) Also have a few 'moonflower' daturas cannas that attract hummingbirds, both green and reddish foliage phygelius 'Moonraker' & a couple of others hydrangeas...some pink & some blue lacecap pink double peonies fuchsias, 'Mary' and 'Gartenmeister' (require winter storage ... both loved by hummingbirds) any number of other things!
