Less Winter Moth: Am I Dreaming?????

I daily inspect my most susceptible trees(aeschulus pavia) for winter moth evidence. They are pretty fully leafed out now and only one has some nascent winter moth larvae. Last year this time, way before the same trees were leafed out- those trees were consumed, literally and figuratively, by winter moth. Jap. maples followed them in being the most damaged; this, in spite of the commercial environmentally safe spraying they rcvd. The year before last was the worst damage of all and spraying happened twice in 10 days. The sprayers haven't come yet this year and I'm wondering if I should cancel them.

Plse share your winter moth experiences these last 3 yrs and now.

I am in Middlesex County just north of Boston. Thank you.
