Hosta Id help please

I'm hoping all you hosta experts out there can help me identify the hostas that are growing in my yard. They were given to me by a few years ago and the original owner didn't know what kind they are either. The blooms are light purple, and the individual leaves are 8 inches long and 5 inches wide and all green. Here are a couple of pictures, hopefully they are clear enough someone can id them. Thanks!!!

nice bug... are those spots within the leaf on the 2nd picture???? or just the sun shining through ... HVX??

are the flowers fragrant?

The mantis love them, I can find at least one everytime I go out there. LOL!!! The flowers are not fragrant, and there are no spots on the leaves either, just not a very good picture. Hope this helps identify them.. thanks again!!!

Hi Pietertje, I just ran out to try and get a quick picture of my younger Island Charm, to compare, before the rain rolls in. Brrrr..chilly wind and damp this morning. I also took the dandelion digger to see if I could find a tag buried near the mystery hosta. I always plant my own name tag with info on source, date purchased, # of eyes at one or two o'clock. If there is a nursery tag, that one usually goes at 11 o'clock. I have looked before, but apparently not far enough away from the crown. I just found it, totally buried. The tip should have been showing, but wasn't. Soooooo.....Dave's guess is spot on! Moonstruck it is! I am delighted, since I have two healthy Island Charms. Lots of people hate them, but they do well for me. Also, Moonstruck is one of my favorite movies, so that may have influenced my purchase decision. I think Island Charm has more oval-shaped leaves than the former mystery hosta. Both Moonstruck and I.C. have slightly ruffled leaves, at least early in the season, but this Moonstruck has a more pronounced twist to it also. Again, thanks for your persistence. a scale would help .... it looks too big for GT ... but no scale ... too pointed also ... PEACE comes to mind.. check the third pic at the library .... why are yours so shiny ... overhead watering.. but the new interior flush is glaucous ... ken

Hi Peren. and utog colours are so hard to tell and compare. Your SF is beautiful. I'm in Windsor, ON 6B and mine should be light like yours as it has only been out for a week. To give a better sense of colour, I have moved my NOID beside some well known Hosta in my garden for comparison. Fragrant Bouquet on top - which has a more smooth texture, NOID below. June Fever to the left and NOID on the right. NOID on top, Paul's Glory on the bottom. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated. This one is my challenge for the spring!

I'm sure no one means to leave you hanging, but there are thousands of hostas, and since this one doesn't appear to have much in the way of distinguishing characteristics, it is difficult to guess its heritage. You need to start with the vein count, bloom time, flower characteristics, leaf size, etc. The Hostalibrary.org offers several links that would help you narrow things down a bit. To me it looks like a generic "green one", and I know that doesn't help you at all. Sorry.

My guess would be Undulata Erromena.
