Oh, hi there UK!!! I've been more of a 'no show' than a 'hanger on', this winter! I confess to being very preoccupied in a non-hosta sort of way, hoping the winter will pass more quickly if I don't continue to come here and drool (as I HAVE DONE, btw) from time to time!! Thank you for posting my pix and giving me hope for what's to come--back--hopefully!!! You've picked two of mine that I am so in love with! The first is 'Flemish Sky'! I love the look and color so much, that I ordered another one for this Spring! It looks like it looks--sort of a turquoisey-blue-green! How's that for a Crayola crayon color!!! The other one is 'Cutting Edge! It is such a beauty, for a solid, especially in the Spring but it just continues to be impressive even beyond Spring, with those luscious curvy leaves!! Here is 'Cutting Edge' in 2006: 2007: 2008: 2009: I just got 'Flemish Sky' last year so I don't have much to show--yet, in terms of growth rate! I highly recommend both, from my experience!! I can't wait to see 'Flemish Sky' in a few more years!!!

It's been a long night or rather 'morning' and I've been thinking--a lot! And, I realize that many of us (me included) have been linking to the 'Library' by specific page, as in we look up the hosta we want to talk about or display and link it, with the link taking us to a specific alphabetical listing, the 'usual way' which is below our message! I'm thinking that even that may be prohibited and that Bob really wants us to ONLY link to the home-page as in this way: The Hosta Library rather than the way we've been doing it below! Whaaaa! It was SO MUCH FUN to be able to read along in our messages and then be able to 'click' and see the specific hosta being discussed so quickly BUT, if that is not what is desired by Bob, so be it and well it should be respected to be his wishes!! Sniff! If you read this, Bob, is there ANY way, we can have a special 'dispensation',, to be able to quickly get to one of your hostas more directly? Hi Kathleen, Truthfully I don't decorate or craft hardly at all, though I faithfully collect patterns AND crafting "ingredients" so that "some day" I will get around to doing them. =) I did finally this past weekend finish the prototype for an angel, which has been on my "to do" list for nearly four years. It doesn't sound dumb at all. You have to upload your photos to an image hosting site. Then copy and paste the address in your message. Try doing a websearch for free Image hosting. I use various ones time to time and use webshots which is a pay service for hosting whole albums. Have been using free "Tinypic" lately for the occasional photo to upload It is easy to use. Also you may have to resize them first if they are too large. I use Adobe Photoshop or Paintshop to resize the pictures. There are a number of products out there for resizing/editing and some hosting sites can do it for you. For example: To use Tinypic for posting pics 1.Click on "Browse." A window will open to look for your photos on your computer. 2.Find the folder/area where you have your photo stored on your computer. 3. Click on photo to select. 4. Click on "open" in the choose file window. 5. Click on "Upload Image." 6 Right click Highlight and Copy the address in the first window shown under the following wording: "Embed HTML: for MySpace, eBay, blogs" 7 Paste the address in your message on this forum. :) Here is a link that might be useful: Image Hosting Site
