How do I post pictures without a link

I want to post my pool pictures, but dont have a web site to link them too. I just want to post them on here??? I know this sounds dumb...but how do i do it?

It doesn't sound dumb at all.
You have to upload your photos to an image hosting site. Then copy and paste the address in your message.
Try doing a websearch for free Image hosting. I use various ones time to time and use webshots which is a pay service for hosting whole albums. Have been using free "Tinypic" lately for the occasional photo to upload It is easy to use. Also you may have to resize them first if they are too large.
I use Adobe Photoshop or Paintshop to resize the pictures. There are a number of products out there for resizing/editing and some hosting sites can do it for you.

For example:
To use Tinypic for posting pics
1.Click on "Browse." A window will open to look for your photos on your computer.
2.Find the folder/area where you have your photo stored on your computer.
3. Click on photo to select.
4. Click on "open" in the choose file window.
5. Click on "Upload Image."
6 Right click Highlight and Copy the address in the first window shown under the following wording:
"Embed HTML: for MySpace, eBay, blogs"
7 Paste the address in your message on this forum.

I really like photobucket.com. Open an account. It's free. Upload the pics to your account. Under each photo, there are 3 lines of computer talk. Highlight the "tag" address, copy and paste it in the message box of this forum. You will just see a bunch of computer talk in the message, but when you "preview message", your photo will be there. If you have more than one photo, make sure you hit return between each bunch of computer talk. That way the photos are displayed vertically. This will make more sense once you do it. First upload pics to a photo-hosting site like Flickr, Picasa, Photobucket, etc. while viewing the pic there, you will find a path to the HTML CODE for that picture. The path usually starts with the link, "Share." Once you locate the code, copy and then paste into your message. Can paste code for multiple pictures. Watch that you do not accidentally get the code for thumbnails or small pictures. Once you paste the code, you will see picture(s) in the message preview (to know if you got it right.)

I upload my photos to picasa.com...once there, to the right, there is the option "link to this photo"...under "select size" i choose large or medium...then under "embed image" I highlight and copy the code....in the garden blog, i paste that code into the same box I type text i want to post. When you preview or submit your post, that code will turn into your photo. repeat the steps above for each photo you want to post. other photo sites probably have a similar process. hope this helps!

Yes, please go to the Suggestions page, find the link about a Florida Gallery and add your comments! One day maybe they'll listen to the request. Photobucket is free and easy. Takes only minutes to set up an account and upload photos. Why not use it? iVillage and other sites that include photos don't have room to store actual photos from all members, so what gets posted is a link to another site where your photo is stored. I started asking questions on this site in December and you all have helped so much. We are in final stages of pool and now are waiting for pool house to get further along. Decking to be formed next week.
