That has to be it. The seeds and seed pods I've seen photographed of this are the spitting image of the ones I collected/planted.

I've had QAL pop up in my garden occasionally. They're lovely - but very aggressive. Once they've decided they like your garden, it's very hard to convince them otherwise.

They like to be in the front row, and to get really cozy with any plant that can't fend them off. A mixed blessing, like so many other wild flowers, I guess.

Diggingthedirt, unfortunately that's the conclusion ive come to after doing some research. In my area of the Mid-Atlantic they're considered invasive so unfortunately I will have to destroy these little seedlings instead of planting them out. My souvenir is on the chopping block! The good thing is in the same place I also picked up a seed pod of purple coneflower and that's happily sprouting also so I have that at least.

Here's the picture of the Queen Anne's Lace. I'm surprised it's on an invasive list. Are you sure of that?

I grew some from seed and planted them along the roadside. I like the way they look combined with the roadside orange daylily "fulva."

It says it's "It is reported invasive in CT, GA, HI, KY, MD, MI, MO, NJ, OR, TN, VA, WA, WI, and WV." I live in southern MD right on the DC border so that made me nervous. It's a shame because it's a pretty plant and I have a front yard that slopes steeply down to the sidewalk that could use some covering.

Is the front yard in sun or shade? There are lots of options for slopes but it depends on the amount of light it receives.
