It's interesting to go through the entire thread and see that you did, in fact, take suggestions offered here. That's nice to see since I suppose many wonder if their advice if falling on deaf ears. I am so glad you dumped the idea of the dwarf alberta spruce. Good decision. Also, I see you nixed the landscaper's suggestion of the cotoneaster. While I am a big fan of cotoneaster in the right location, they would not have suited the front of your house. Another good decision. I think the whole thing looks sweet, actually. I liked that you stayed low on the left side of the house and did some nice repetion of form and plantings. I would like to see a note of height on the right side, but you can maybe add that in next year somehow. I also like the color palette...the soft pinks of the spirea, blues of the hydrangea (or pink depending on your soil) and the white azalea, along with the "traditional" (I assume you mean pink) azalea will work nicely I think. However, although right now the "hot" colors of your impatience are okay since the shrubs are small, next year you will want a softer, cooler palette of annual color. Also, I totally concur with the windowbox idea. That would look very nice, in my opinion. Patty

Don - I looked at every reference I could fine on Nightlife, and went back over to her house and took a close look at BHN15, and I believe you'v nailed it for me. If with that much scrutiny I couldn't say it isn't, I could say it is. It's Mommy and Daddy don't care what I call their kid. And the plant is not likely to be used for breeding thoroughbreds. Thanks much. Amazingly we've gotten the two of the four I expected would be the hardest, the solid green ones. Very quickly too, I might add. I still need the two variegated ones and felt they would be picked up quickly. The one I feel is a mini, but the few responses all from highly experienced collectors all feel is a Tiara, has me going. I looked at a lot of Tiara photo I could find and my own Golden Tiara. None has the really tight mounding of BHN32 and all give larger numbers regarding plant and leaf size. I've downloaded two lists from myhosta.com of all hosts with Tiara in its name and with Mouse in its name,and I am going to do spreadsheets of each to compare with BHN32. It may not be productive, but I expect to learn something I don't know. And when I am done it might in fact be Diamond Tiara as Steve said. So I mean no disrespect to anyone. BHN34 is so beautifull. I expected a whole bunch of experienced hostaholics to jump in and say "that's xxxxxxxx". And it hasn't happened. So I might run another thread with three new ones and BHN34 and see what happens. Thank you mdln for replying. I wish my link for store's sample kitchen above would work as it is gone. The kitchen designer had a brand new large sample door made for me and another client but would not leave it here for me to really analyze. The soft White was a little whiter than the Home Depot's Inner Most door sample (Divinity Classic) that I had here that I felt was too yellow in my lighting and with my tiles despite really liking it in a kitchen reveal on this forum. The Polar White (think the sample door was much older) with the 3,000K LED bulbs I was using did not look as nice with my tiles as the soft white in this lighting and actually had a gray look which surprised me. So maybe it is the lighting that I plan to use as I like white that is not so yellow. The Soft White was slightly darker and creamier than my bedroom set that I love so much that is Durham Maple with a rubbed out sand white finish. I had my heart set on the Polar but I think it does not go with my tiles and amazingly the soft white did in the light I plan to use as I only have one LED bulb in this light spectrum. I just do not envision my kitchen being too yellow but I don't want stark white either despite how wonderful it looks with the right counter and accessories in the kitchen of others as that did not look right with my tiles either. I already bought the kitchen floor tiles which I know I should have bought after the cabinets. Every kitchen that I see in Polar White or Soft White on this forum I have fallen in love with so maybe when all the doors are either white, it just looks white. The Eggshell is too warm for me.

@ Rococo....Yellow is gone. I did three washes ranging between 160-200F. Combo and variance of Tide boost, British Ariel powder tablet and Grab Green. I think with continued hot washes and strong(ish) powder detergent with oxi bleach and a bleach activator...they might be ok! :)
