Starting Summer Bulbs Indoors

Hi Y'all,

I've not been on the "BOARDS" lately, hope you all are well.

I'm thinking of buying some summer bulbs and planting indoors in pots to put in a sunny window. Things like Acidanthera -- which grows in pots well, doesn't require coddling except watering and usually blooms in the fall, but if you get it started indoors will probably bloom much earlier -- like end of July. These lovely flowers are fragrant. One day I saw a gentleman laying on the sidewalk taking a photograph of one of these beauties! They are tender, so you will have to dig them in the fall or just pretend they are annuals like I do. Walmart sells the bulbs in packs of 20 for about $5.

Anybody else planting some bulbs earlier indoors this year?

Debra
