Firepower Nandina in front bed garden?

We have recently re-done our garden bed at the front of our house, and planted Pieris Japonica (Doroth Wyckoff), and azaleas ('Elsie Lee') on either side of the front door, and a row of 'Repandens' weeping yew along the front wall. We need another row of low-growing (two feet or less) evergreen shrubs to be in front of the yews that will provide a nice contrast with the flowing, very-dark green needly branches.

What do you think of a row of Firepower Nandina? Given we are at the northern edge of this plant's hardiness (listed as zones 6-9), will it do well here? The garden faces east and gets sun until early afternoon. Thanks for any info!
