October Glory dry leaves

I bought a 9' tall, 3 1/2" caliper October Glory Maple from a good nursery. They delivered it. I have been keeping it watered (came in a bucket). Have not planted it yet (has been about 9 days since delivered. Watered on June 30 but then forgot to water July 1 and did not water until July 2 early evening. Leaves are wilted and looks to be in sad shape. I watered it heavily on 7/2 and again this morning (7/3). Leaves were still droopy this morning but none have fallen off yet and all are still green. Temps have been low to mid 70's and dry. Evenings have been in the mid 50's. I have it in its bucket in a shallow hole set into a shady area with tall trees around it. Will be planting this evening but wondered if it's too late? Is there something I can do to revitalize it before planting. I am worried that I let it go too long without water and it is dying.
