Ribbon Nursery is actually at www.lilyseeds.com, while Rainbow Lily Seeds is at www.lilyseed.com (no s). I placed an order (5 packets) with the former, because they take PayPal. Like I NEED more seeds?

Both Ribbon Nursery and Rainbow Lily Seeds have really cool selections, so as long as the seed is shipped and received, I figure I can't lose :-) I thought Cascade had a great seed selection, too, but I have to be sensible PART of the time...

Thanks for the correction. I have never heard of Rainbow Lily Seeds so will have to check it out (like I need another source to tempt me). I just received 13 packets from Ribbon, mostly trumpets but a few species, Western American and an OT. He has already sold out of some of his offerings. Lisa (buggycrazy) is adding more seed as she preps them. Her Alena x Arabian Red is actually from my garden so if you buy and they don't grow you can yell at me... I have also donated to the NALS exchange for the first time this year.

Yes, he does a good job of packing the seeds. You might want to go back to the web site and write down the descriptions since he just puts his "catalog" number on the packets. That's what I do. When I had a color printer (not now unfortunately) I printed out the pictures of the seed parents for future reference. This fall I collected seed from crosses I made with lilies I grew from his picotee trumpet seeds. Should make for some interesting new lilies!

Pardalinum, I did scribble brief descriptions on each packet, because I keep my empty packets (all hurly-burly, held together with a rubber band) for at least a year. Other than that, it's one huge adventure for me. I'll see what emerges :-)

Since the codes identifying the seed parents have changed from year to year, printing out the pictures is a really good precaution.
