Kathleen..I have to say that I'm never disappointed with ANY of your tables! I love the color combination you used, and also the combo of the two paisley prints. I agree with Lynn... I too am jealous that you have a WS outlet near you. I also have Hydrangea envy. Yours are just beautiful...dried or otherwise. I had to laugh when I saw your green swirl flatware. I forgot that I purchased them at the beginning of the Summer, until I saw yours here. (goes to show you when you stash things away). When I first saw them at CTS, there were only a couple of sets left, and they were defective. I went back a week later, and was lucky to find more. Well anyway...every detail of this table is just beautiful..right down to those lovely napkin holders! jane

Who picked the paisley chair? It was a combo between you & DH? It looks comfortable, practical, and has a cozy feel. If you like the shape, as well as the pattern- then get the chair. You could always slipcover in a washable fabric later. Side note- My DH picked these chairs 6-years ago. He really loved the pattern, scale & traditional feel. We weren't furniture shopping- they just caught his eye while we were out one day. Since we both like cool colors, we haven't tired of the chairs. They sit in a room with an off white slipcovered sofa and they have cream linen accent pillows. If we grow weary of the pattern, we'll get them covered. I'm glad we got them when we did as they are discontinued My point - buy what you are drawn to and you won't be sorry. Unless, you are expecting to throw parties in your master bedroom, you don't need approval by Houzz ppl for your bedroom. Your house/ bedroom reflects your marriage, a blending of you both. Have confidence and find your personal style, not what is "trendy" If you are looking to buy furniture, the pros here are more than happy to suggest purchases

I suspect Ballard Designs either used work-for-hire to create the design, possibly based on a piece of fabric, or used something like the watercolor app to turn a photo of a piece of fabric into a print. I like a lot of things at Ballard, but these are wildly overpriced for what they are, which is apparently ink jet prints. I would look on Etsy for something similar, or even find a friend or relative with some artistic talent to make something. The BIG reason to purchase from smaller hosta specialty growers, is that they will get a pile of tc hostas and grow them for a few years to see if they come true to type. Hostas are unstable and even though the tc process is supposed to produce identical hostas, it often doesn't, and we often see sports in batches at big box stores. One would hope that Monrovia has a little more expertise, but they sell many many plants, and the checker person is looking for a green hosta with a lighter maple leaf in the center, so it got thru. FYI, way back when Blue Mouse Ears was IT, I was anxious to buy more mice sports. I bought some from the originators (the Deckers) and to fill out the order I ordered h.Blue Baron (their intro). It is supposed to have 7" long blue/grey leaves. That was well over a decade ago and that plant has never had leaves longer than 3". Now think of it...here is a plant from the originator, and they approved it and shipped it to me. It hasn't ever matched their description. So YUP, what you get, and what the label says won't always match. Even if the label is pasted on the pot. Fun, for all of us!!! Keep 'em guessing! -Babka
