this is second pics, actually I already moved it to this smaller pot and make the rootball exposed again to the air and put it back to the coffee table next to glass door in my apartment. I don't think this is too much water, it looks dry on the yellow leaves...is it stressed out because I moved it with too much sun? I thought echeveria like fuller sun...or maybe because I never water it thoroughly because of traumatic with all the leaves drops and rotten before? when it gonna grow new rossettes on the stem>? I read it will grow new rossettes head on the stem, is it true?? should I water it or just let it be...?? please advise soon...help...i dont want to lose this again

Hydrangeas are not heavy feeders like roses are. In the south, one application in May and another in July will do the trick. Since your plants sound like they are small, a 1/4 cup of manure, compost or cottonseed meal will do for the whole year. After July, let the plant change from growth mode to developing-flower-buds mode and then into dormancy mode. Some fertilizer products make you apply quite often (weekly or bi-weekly) so all that nitrogen builds up in the soil. Then you add lawn fertilizer which is usually high in nitrogen and you end up with soil that has too much nitrogen. That keeps the plant growing when it should be doing other things. Of more concern, it keeps the plant from going dormant and this could create problems when sudden cold weather arrives. Have a great day, mmgrow. Luis

Sue Light is the most difficult dimension for me. I can get the fertilizer, the ph, the soil mix, every element down to science but light, natural light through windows, is a constant challenge. What is surprising thing for me is how little light AV's actually need in my environment. Leaves with red backed leaves are a darker green without a trace of yellow or brown. I haven't seen any red backed leaf where the red of the back "bled" through to the surface of the leaf. That yellowish/brown tinge in the green would indicate too much light in my environment. Another indication, an early warning for me this fall, when a tree started to defoliate and the plants were getting too much light, was the leaves started curling down. I like to see crisp leaves with a slight upward tilt. I have too much sun, way too intense UV, as I live in a harsh desert. I am learning about light the hard way and pale brownish/yellow leaves with a downward curl is a sign to get moving..to lower light levels. Just my two cents worth :)

Since there are horses on the bags of alfalfa pellets, I suspect the size of the pellets is about the size of your thumb. Those are also called horse cubes. What you want are the rabbit feed sized. Here is a link to feed stores near Orlando. Call around and ask for rabbit chow or alfalfa pellets the same size as rabbit chow. Another place to find corn flour, not the same as meal, but equally effective, is at a grocery store catering to Hispanic shoppers. They carry corn flour for tortillas in 25 pound bags. You do not need both. I was giving you some alternatives. Since you have a Tractor Supply nearby, a couple other choices are DuMOR 16% Layer Crumbles and whatever floating catfish food they have. There is one called Trophy and another. Those have 35% conspicuously marked on the label.
