Grass B Gon
Comments (1)I find that Grass-B-Gone is excellent but only for most grasses. I get them mixed up but the grass that spreads with runners is gone in about 2 weeks. Eventually, you will be left with the grasses that it wont kill. You might write to the company to get the list of what it kills and what it does not. If you can identify the grass, then there is a list on the bottle you can check. Depending on the size of the area, you can spray one section and see if it affects the plants you want to keep....See MoreWeed-B-gon Max question

Comments (4)No, it should not kill the liriope. GrassBGon is labeled to safely spray over liriope (they call it lilyturf, but they are referring to liriope). You may notice less vigorous growth after the treatment or possibly even a slight setback, but, if you carefully follow the directions, it should be generally safe. Some lawn chemicals actually do work better when applied more heavily than labeled; obviously this would not be a good time for that....See MoreWait period after applying weed-b-gon
Comments (5)"If they used a high rate you will not be able to replant anything but grass for about 9mo-a year." This is a bit on the pessimistic side :-) The active ingredients in Weed-B-Gon degrade quite rapidly in the soil......anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. To be on the safe side you could wait a month before planting but there is NO need to wait longer than that. As stated above, the herbicide must come into contact with plant foliage to be effective - it has minimal residual effectiveness if applied to the soil....See Morejmcdmd
