Have I killed my climbing hydrangea

ctnchpr

I accidentally pruned a small climbing hydrangea that I had overwintered in a 1 gal pot. I know, "where was your mind, woman?"
It was sitting beside another hydrangea of the paniculata variety and the moral of the story is better labeling.
My question is, have I damaged it irreparably and if not, how do I care for it from this point?
Thanks.
