puglvr1 - Those colors are bright! Congrats on the Poinsetta. I just bought my first two this month. I really hope I'll be able to bring them back year after year. I have so much awe for everyone who can do that.

My Christmas is already white, but luckily it's warmed up considerably. However there still are snowdrifts that are about 7ft high...oh those would be so fun to climb if I wasn't afraid they'd cave in and spit me out into traffic...

As long as we're discussing Christmas, I came home a couple hours ago grocery shopping (went to Wal-Mart and a local grocery store with mom! Oh my aching feet!) with a brand new plant addition! Not a hoya but a beautiful yet small Thanksgiving/Holiday cactus with buds! They must change colors b/c mine has hot pink buds with a larger bud that is red! It was a steal for $4.99! I got it at the grocery store. They also had two not in bloom, one other like the aforementioned and others that were a rose color! I hate to betray hoyas but these plants sure are something else!

Pug, I see yours are doing well! I'm afraid I'll kill mine!
I killed my AVs but all my other houseplants are doing great.

Ooooh! Pretty blooms, Pug! Mine looks like the first one you have. I really like the second one! Where did you get yours? In a different grocery store, I saw one with orange buds. I would have really liked to have bought that one.

Hirt's nursery). Its suppose to be yellow. I love yellow flowers and have wanted one for a while now.

Pug, great photos!! nice minerva amaryllis you got there. Be careful about amaryllis, they are almost as addicting as hoyas. LOL

Hey everyone, beautiful pictures!!! Such vivid colors!!! How come I can't see Al's? I tried a number of different ways and it won't let me.

I can't imagine anything being as addictive as Hoyas, but you can bet I'm not going to take a step in that direction to find out! I do a lot of outside gardening and I know conifers are quite addictive too.

We're finally getting some FL winter weather...lows in the upper 30's and highs in the mid to low 60's for four days! Believe me, that 's cold for us in FL,lol...especially since we've been in the 80's for almost the whole fall season! Looking forward to feeling like Christmas this week.

Jan, never say never, we had snow on Christmas here a couple of years ago. I've been trying to find the pic taken from a satellite, it looks cool with the coast of Texas ringed in white. I wasn't happy, out pulling in plants in the middle of the night, but most people enjoyed it.

Brad don't go to Sam's! They have some huge christmas/thanksgiving cactus. A white with pink tinged one jumped in my basket and then forced a little old lady to buy it's brother.

Upper 50's here, it's been 8-20 degrees below normal here for almost a month. At least the rain quit.

HAPPY WINTER SOLSTICE! Spring is on the way. Have a great holiday everyone. I'll be at work Christmas day.
