Post Holiday Greetings!

As I mentioned before Christmas, we were heading north to drop the litter of pups with their respective owners, and then it was on to my son's for the Holiday...

I am happy to report that all nine puppies are safely in the arms of their new people! Even Baby Emmy, whom we were originally thinking of keeping, found a home with one of her brothers... our doctor and his family really wanted her, too. She's got a great home, and will want for nothing!

I do miss them, though... it was an unusually spectacular group of pups. In two years, we will repeat the breeding... we'll have to; the want list is growing already!

Christmas was wonderful! I got to see all of my children... and all of my grandchildren! Watching them open presents was so much fun! For Christmas, I got a very soft and fuzzy blanket suitable for cuddling into while typing and surfing at my computer... and, I'm getting a new computer! Larry is building new ones!

When we arrived home last night, the apartment was extremely cold... the pilot light for the heater had gone out while we were away! It wasn't cold enough to damage plants, but it was chilly enough to retard the fading of blooms, and I came home to these...

I hope your Christmas was as fulfilling as mine! I had a great time relaxing with family, seeing friends, eating more than I should have... and just generally having a constant smile from ear to ear! I am truly Blessed!

We had a great time with our families, my DH's parents, his brother & girl friend, our daughter & grand daughter were here for dinner.
My DH and I got up at 5A.M. to start roll & fry 120 egg rolls, it was 1 P.M. when we got done cleaning up the mess.
Everyone enjoyed. Packed up bunch of egg rolls for the dogie bags. We are truly blessed sharing lots of love & laughter.

Oh, Jan! You sure know how to make me hungry! Beautiful pictures... I love the palms! And those egg rolls look positively yummy!

We shared Christmas dinner with my daughter-in-law's family, most of it traditional fare...

We had a spiral cut ham, a baked chicken, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes with marshmallows and brown sugar, green bean casserole, corn casserole with cheese, baked beans, traditional stuffing, gravy, deviled eggs, olives and pickles, cranberry sauce... and for dessert, there was pumpkin, apple, cherry, or pecan pies with whipped cream! And strong coffee to wash it all down with! Delicious!

The day after Christmas, we ordered in Chinese food from a local take out place... it made feeding everyone so much easier... no cooking and no dishes to wash! I had sweet and sour pork, white rice, and shrimp with snow peas... all my favorites!

And my daughter-in-law baked the most awesome Gingerbread cookies... I ate way more than I should have!

My diet begins January 2nd! :-)

Yes, Spring and Easter holidays are coming fast. Our DG and boyfriend are coming the week before Easter and the rest have off the week after. I guess we will have a full two weeks of company..... And I intend to have our caretakers here too. It's too hard to see to everyone's needs and DH's too.
