A great Hummingbird camera - easy to use and inexpensive

I recently purchased a Novabird Backyard Bird Camera. It has a motion sensor and delay timer you can adjust. EASY to use,just set it up 15 inches from your feeder and go away :) You can get the camera for $90 shipped and will need a Secure Digital (SD) memory card and a card reader;you should be able to get everything you need for under $150.

I bought one a couple years ago - it was the only way I could get any photos of my pileated woodpeckers!

Thank you for the report;did you get satisfactory pictures of our pileated woodpeckers? So far I'm impressed with the camera.

Speaking of Christmas Tips, LOL, I read this one by some decorating EXPERT on an Internet site..... " Don't go overboard with decorating, because remember, the time it takes to put it up will be the time it takes to get everything down at the end of the season. Festive, but not over the top. You won't want your house to look like National Lampoon's Christmas." Boy, obviously he's never visited OUR gang. We could give him a heart attack when it comes to over the top! catherinet, I'm sorry the Polaroid did not work out. Is it possible to set the ISO ("film speed") on that camera? What you report sounds like the ISO was set too low (number was too small) for the conditions. You will find more and more point-and-shoot digital cameras disposing with the viewfinder in favor of just the LCD screen. It's difficult to economically produce a bright, usable viewfinder and most digital-camera users I see use the LCD screen anyway (cause and effect?), so many manufacturers are eliminating them entirely. If you do find one with a viewfinder, try it out first if you can.

Susan, Observant! You asked for it. My DH has horrible or no organizational skills. He NEVER puts caps back on. He has ruined many slacks because he puts uncapped pens in his pants pocket. He absent mindedly uuummm--collects pens at work and brings home a variety of pens because he has not writing instrument preference. Recently, he came home from a conference with a Mont Blanc. He had no idea what a Mont Blanc pen was. I explained how much it cost and we try to find the owner in order to return it. So, to answer your question about the caps--I try to make a point of how outrageous this habit is by corralling the pen caps that I find around the house.

Cool! Just what I wanted and I didn't know such a thing existed! I am such a novice, but have a great desire to take good bird pics.

Hi Vardenman,

This is one purchase with NO "buyer's regret." I'm 100% satisfied. Certainly,it could be better,just as all digital cameras are getting better;but,for the price,features and ease of use,it is great!
I think this camera qualifies as:
"So easy,even a Caveman can do it." :)

Hi,

There are two identical cameras;however,one is housed in a fake bird house. I chose the bird house model.
