I know this is an older topic, but if trying to grow it as a house plant, should the container be kept constantly wet? I've read that they need consistently boggy conditions. Mine came in a plastic pot with draining, which was sitting in a nice little terracotta pot without any, and I've been keeping about an inch of water in the bottom of the ceramic pot. I was getting brown tips with normal watering conditions, read up that it was a semi-aquatic plant, and started thinking a lack of moisture could've been a problem. Althought, it was relatively dry when I got it so it could be drought stress. It should be getting an alright amount of light, and the humidity in the room it's in should be relatively high at this point.

The aquatic corkscrew rush is Juncus effusus 'Spiralis'. It is will grow throughout the temperate and sub-tropical areas of North America, Europe, and Asia, with the exception of the arid and high altitude regions. It likes fresh to brackish marshes, swamps, ditches, and moist seasonal wetlands and meadows. Soft rush is tolerant of diverse site conditions, but thrives in direct sun, finely textured soils, salinity less than 14ppt., pH from 4.0 to 6.0, and shallow water (less than 6 inches). Latin names are specific. Common names are sometimes ambiguous. There is no way to tell of they are the same unless the plant has the Latin name. My suspicion is that they are the same.

Pretty good job Rosemarie. You can use actions in programs like Photoshop, and Photoshop Elements (very bare bones version of Photoshop) and Paint Shop Pro. My dad's Dell came with PSP and I know some computers and cameras come with Photoshop Elements bundled with it. Look around in your computer or your house and see if you ever got one of those for free. BTW you're welcome...I'm glad you were able to learn something. I can't tell you what the plants are in your pics, but maybe I can help with the pictures. ;-) jadegarden, The reason that the pics may have been blurry is because of the PB resizing. When you resize an image it loses sharpness. Which is why I recommend to sharpen your image once you resize it. If you allow for the image host to resize your pics you lose control over how clear they are. sjv78736, Check out the link below...if it isn't clear or a little complicated I will go ahead and do a shorter tutorial of it.
