Corkscrew rush (Juncus effusus 'Spiralis')

Is anyone growing corkscrew rush? It is a very cool-looking plant! I read that it is hardy Zone 4a - 10b. I also read that it requires lots of water/very consistent moisture. Some people grow it in containers without drainage holes. My local Walmart has some sad-looking ones in planters that I bet will go on clearance soon. Thinking about getting one. Seems like it will be easy to overwinter, given the cold tolerance. Just need to keep it wet enough. What is your experience?
