I went back and looked at mine and it had a bit more streaking than that. Perhaps yours is mislabeled?

Mine has more streaking too (photo taken today). But also notice one leaf has just one middle streak, so be patient and see what the next leaves look like. Yours appears to have that characteristic shine. If you don't get more streaky leaves, could it be June Fever? Also, watch for the red flower stalks.

MadPlanter1, the coloring is quite intense on your RE. Gorgeous.

Thisismelissa, it is possible that my RE is mislabeled, but it is very young and perhaps needs time to develop. I got this RE from a friend who purchased a few bareroot hostas and passed one along to me. I am not familiar with the place she got them from.

Babka, I had a look at June Fever and I do see similarities. I agree that I need more time to sort it out. Sometimes it is fairly easy to say what hosta it is not, rather than knowing what hosta it definitely is.

I've ordered RE and it should be here soon. Nice to see pictures of it in all its glory. Babka mentioned to watch for red flower stalks. What does that mean? Marg

Marg, "red flower stalks" means that the stalk that the flower grows on will have a red tinge. That should certainly be a key factor in its identification. Thanks Babka!

This is my RE. It was a Shady Oaks liner last fall when I planted it..It did well over the winter, doubled in size.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I'll watch for that on mine to make sure I did get the right one. Can't wait for mine to come in and get planted!
