Help in 'holding' Miracle Fruit Berries

suegrew

OK, here's my dilemma...I have 4 ripened MF berrries, still on the branch and tomorrow's Friday. I intend to mail them up to Boston on Monday. (Packed in a styrofoam container with dry ice). By Mon. morning I should have a few more ripened berries to add to that same shipment.

My question-should these berries come off the branch now (they're ready) or should I wait? (the last time I waited, they over-ripened & burst) What I'm thinking of doing is picking them and either refrigerating them or freezing them and then packing them off at the start of the week taking into account a quicker transit time.

What do you think guys? Refrigerating or freezing them?

Thanks for any info!

Sue.

(I posted this same message in Tropicals in hope that someone has the answer)
