It looks beautiful! Where did you get such a bargain?

I've got three and they're a lot of fun. They bloom frequently with a good rain. I've had them for two years now and this year they putting out more growth. They in the morning sun, midday shade, and early afternoon sun again. Mine were smaller than yours is. They're almost 3 feet tall now.

It's so cute to see the note burst out ... especially when there are bird around singing :) :) :)

I'be had mine a couple of years now and just love it. It is between 3 and 4 feet tall and gets a lot of sun. It did well with this years dry spell, but bloomed when we got some rain. I love this plant. ;o)

mine doesn't look very good right now, all leaves are drooping or are already dropped. I am hoping it will recover (DH watered it way too much while I was gone)
Any suggestions? should I cut it back?

Katkin gave me one last spring. I love it!
Last year it was in a pot and bloomed several times during the warm season.
This summer I planted it in my "shade garden" near a tall pine, and I must say it loves its new home. Flush after flush of flowers all summer long!

Evelyn, I would leave it a few and see if it gets new leaves. Of course, you can cut off any dead growth. Sometimes plants drop there leaves but will grow new ones on the same stem as soon as it is happy again. :o)

Thanks Kathy, I think I also should take it out of the pot and plant it in the ground.

I love those musical notes!

I love them too! I just got mine this spring but already have propogated many babies since I cannot get enough of it. I like it that it blooms over and over - except for the bleeding heart vine none of my other clerodendrum do that. And I also love those little purple stamens (?) that pop out when the note unfurls.

Evelyn: If you lose yours and want a replacement I have seveal rooted cuttings I can give you.

PS: Anita, I have a rooted cutting Mona Lavender and Todd will dig up a piece of the zebra grass.

I have a very large one in my greenhouse that I have to keep cutting back. I have another rooted cutting that I am letting grow over th ewinter, I am going to plant it out next Spring and see if it makes it. All the other Clerodendrons are hardy here, if they freeze to the ground they come right back...someone told me this one was more tender.
I have minahassee, ugandese, shooting star, speciossum, and 3 different vining ones in the ground already, they do fine.
Anyone growing it where it might have frozen (22-28F?)
