plants for roadside

When I wasn't looking, the county came by and trimmed my Hawaiian Sea Grapes back 5 feet from the sidewalk all along the front of my house (80 feet). Now I'm left with an ugly/bare curbside that will soon be weeds until the Hawaiian Sea Grapes grow back. What can I plant there that will fill in quickly and not need any care after three weeks (I'm going out of town for a month) Not grass! I'm on the west side of A1A, so the plants need to be a somewhat salt, wind, and drought tolerant.
