Great Gardening Weather

Hi Everyone,

I'm back after a very busy time of it.

Perfect weather for gardening in zone 10b, eh? A bit cooler would even be better.

I bought a couple of Big Boy mater plants from Lowe's over a week ago and have them in large containers. Found a green caterpillar on one of them already. Looked for Dipel or Thuricide in Lowe's and couldn't find it, maybe Home Depot? Will Neem Oil get rid of these worms?

My Goose Creek mater seeds which are in small pots are up and at 'em. They're still only a few inches tall, though. Have green onions planted in medium-sized pots and they practically sprouted over night! Have been enjoying okra (thanks Tom) for the past few months. These have been in pots also.

Blueberries are looking good (no berries till spring, though, right?) except I'm having a bout with these menacing little white weevils or beetles chewing the leaves and stems. I've been shaking them off and stepping on them. Anyone else have these pests? Maybe Neem Oil will get rid of them? Any other organic insecticide for beetles?

Thanks for your ideas.

Happy Gardening.

Sheri :-)
