The seeds that I planted weren't calendula :(....different varieties and heights of marigolds. I think everyone must know about my "weed"! It's growing taller every day and looking less compact and less like a marigold. It's between 6"-8" tall just from the rain over nite. Once these weeds are gone, the sunshine can get to the real marigolds underneath. It will also look much more organized and less "weedy" when they start to fill in. Thanks again for your help! I'm green with envy. I bought a plant in bloom last year, it's doing well, but no sign of buds. I also have a smaller growing variety, a nice size clump, but again no buds. Thx for the culture link, I'll check it out. Sheila :)

No coco mulch, but i just keep finding these things. Uprooted more yesterday. They come up in pots, in the ground, everywhere. I'm going to let one grow in an out-of-the way spot for awhile just to see what it grows into.

Hi Know this is a very old post but was recently looking around for Plumeria that is evergreen and the flower is not white. Went to a special nursery was blown away by the variety !! 30 different growth habits , 25 fragrances , 15 choices among the evergreens .If that isn't enough they can custom graft to the habit color and fragrance you choose lol In my years of gardening I've always got cuttings from neighbors so have never bought one . Had no idea there was so much choice !! While i love plumeria hate the habits, get gigantic naked all winter while I found evergreen thought they only came in white and mine is only fragrant at night . While they were expensive settled for a dwarf in a soft yellow with an apricot aroma . Has not flowered as yet but still has leaves and a beautiful "weeping" habit ,supposedly will stay under 6 feet. Was tempted by the custom grafts but a bit out of my budget!! lol I always thought only roses had lots of choices !! gary
