When I rooted this cutting in the autumn, it had a peduncle just above the soil. I never believed anything would come out of that!

Good shopping!!! Congratulations, I really love that pattern too. Somehow, somewhere, I've seen it before. I'll keep my eyes open, but I don't normally haunt many estate sales or antique stores.

Wow! That's fantastic, Izzy. Please keep us posted. Your RR seedling looks like a winner! I'm already completely charmed by it. Its colors remind me of Mutabilis. It's been fun viewing your singles. Campanula used to post hers, but I haven't seen her around in awhile. There seem to be mostly voluptuous roses going around the forum, just as there are in my garden. I grow a few singles or just barely doubles, but not many. Bayse's Purple, Nearly Wild, Dusky Maiden, Kim Rupert's DFLED2 (not in commerce), Black Gold, and R alba Semi Plena. R. I read yesterday that a drug that was developed for the ebola outbreak, which has already had tested and approved by the FDA years ago, was showing that it did affect the covid virus. UPS said the delivery was today, so I stayed home waiting because I didn't want it to sit in the HOT sun all afternoon. It arrived about 5 p.m. - 103 degrees. The box was very warm from sitting in the UPS truck all day, but I got it de-stapled and out of the box right way. It is a very beautiful plant and so far no complaints what-so-ever. It seems to have 4 nice side stems off the main leader... which has been pruned. There were also really good instructions from Four Winds Growers as to how to baby it for the next two weeks to acclimate it to my yard. It is 36" tall and the plastic pot it's in is another 12".

My Hoya rigida has a peduncle right down at the potting mix as well so your cutting gives me hope that it might try to bloom as well. Congratulations on the buds.

How wonderful! Good luck! I agree with Lisa that the new leaves are very cute. Every time I see a new leaf, I think: No, this is my favorite style of baby leaf!

Yea, those baby leaves are really sweet, the colour, the perfect shape...I get that warm kitten feeling :)

From my very limited knowledge, it`s an Australis. It was given to me as a cutting from a place where I attended a meeting last fall. I had just caught the Hoya mania, so had no shame as to ask. They had no idea what Hoya it is.

Still keeping fingers crossed, hopefully there`ll be updates.

Very cool indeed, how exciting!

I'd go along w/ the Australis ID. I've got some from Cena which looks like that, particularly the new leaves both the red-bronze color w/ those very green leaf tips. I've even tried to take pix of that funny bronze leaf w/ green tips, but didn't get good shots.

Sadly the buds on my australis just dried up, but lacunosa doesn`t let me down

DS-70 has one single peduncle opening today. Love the colour of this one, too bad they`re so small...

inger-1, I see that you are in zone 10 as well. Where abouts are you? Anywhere near San Diego? If so where are you getting your hoyas?
