Cave Creek Canyon opened - Pic

Yesterday I finally was able to get a sneak peek at CCC. It is off cycle for blooming but look at the number of buds it produced and that is only the top half of the photo when I took the pic.

Not too shabby for a FFO during our cooler temps. Next year should really be the test.

Not sure what it is called, if anything, but I like the way the eye creates that triangular effect. Nice one!

Thanks for the eye candy! And I agree with maximus, I've never seen a doxie that color. And your chocolate one is fab too, and don't you have one more that's a special color? We have a red dapple and a black & tan, both smooth haired. We love doxies!!!

If you need a ceiling fan, and I can sure understand why you do as I'd never do without one in our MBR, I say skip the chandy and just replace the fan with one that's large enough to cool your room and is in a style that works with your new furniture. Skip the lights on it, though, and just use lamps on your nightstands, dresser, and wherever to light your room. Bed: think about the fact that you'll probably have to replace the storage baskets under that one bed you like someday in the near future (they will get kicked and frayed, etc). Will you be able to find good, quality replacements that fit those cubbies then . . . and at a reasonable price? It's something I've thought about every time I look at those types of beds. When I pay for a piece of quality furniture, I don't want to worry about replacing parts of it in a few years, but that's just me. As for your bedding, I love your idea about using tan, cream and aqua. I like this type of coverlet. It's lightweight, so you can use it year-round and vary the accent pieces. This one I found on Kohls website and it's on sale at the moment. Then you can use an aqua print (or plain) coverlet folded at the foot of your bed until you need it. You can add matching shams and/or coordinating shams and bedskirt of you choose. Here's one idea, but there are many possibilities out there. "Linden Street Aqua bedding " Lynn

Shelayne--Yes, that's my lovely 1979-1980 before kitchen! We have only lived here a year, and that kitchen was dark, and poorly laid out. I am just loving the function in my new space! taking out interior walls and soffits helped bring in a ton of natural light! It feels like the house space in the house is so much more usable! We are in Manilla, UT now. We've seen Red Canyon and the Sheep Creek Geological Loop. Tomorrow, we'll do Vernal and the Flaming Gorge Dam. On Thurs, we are off to Evanston, and get to see Lori!!!!! I can't drive the rig in the wind. I just don't have the strength to hold it on the road. If it isn't windy, it's easy! If you have ever driven a full size van or pickup, you can drive this. It's just a little wider and longer. The rear camera helps alot. It's almost like having a rear view mirror. I still am not used to mountain time. I was awake at 6 this morning. And the elevation is a whole lot higher than this flat lander is used to. Inhaler night tonight. I feel much better now. Of course, all the dust I inhaled in western Iowa hasn't helped, either. We are really having a great time. I'll try to keep posting, at least. May not get pictures uploaded to p. bucket to share, but at least, if I have internet, I can post. Tami

Wow, that is gorgeous! This is the 1st garden pic I've seen of that cultivar.

I have several of his intros & every last one of them performed according to registration on branching & bud counts. Not only that they all are EMO's, very saturated colors AND teeth! All in a record cold summer here. Who says you can't get teeth in the north from a southern? I sent him an email reporting back on how well his 08's overwintered here & increased well too. I'm very, very happy with my Luddys!

One of the reasons I picked this one was for the eye on it. Very distinctive and hopefully will make some nice babies in the future.
Its color is different from Luddy's pics on his website which shows a lighter coloration. The description of it is orange cream tone which is near to what the eye sees and not the lighter color displayed on his website.

I also have CANYON COLORS(bloomed already this season) PURPLE CROWN FAIRY AND MESOZOIC MUNCH (has scaped and hopefully will see the flower this season).

Forgot about two others I got this spring from a seller on LA, AWESOME APPLIQUE and WASHED WATERCOLOR,but not sure they will make it. LA buy that was bad.
