I love the tool box, desk and enamel pan...but that's because I LOVE Prims :) I have an old toolbox with the name of one of the local hardware stores on it that has since closed up! I bought it for like $5 at an antique store and it sits on my kitchen counter and holds blue Mason jars that I use for canisters! The enamel pan would be a lot more than $5 around here. The yellow and green stuff is more expensive because it's harder to find! I LOVE collecting that stuff. I have a good collection of red and white pans and some other stuff. I also have an old desk but it's the old kind where the guy in front of you has the desk attached to his bench. I bought that this winter and it is my endtable in the corner. I just love old stuff! I can't imagine putting it in the dump! Freecycle it nice....if it works for you. I have yet to get anything but I did get rid of about 6 things last week :)

One blessing about our new neighbor and we pray for is that they do move,as his wife indicated they would next year!! We'll keep our fingers crossed. If you haven't seen my other posts about these neghbors, the reason they don't like us is that our property was used by them for years as their private park and playground. They thought no one would ever buy it because it stayed vacant for so many years. We came along and changed all that and they take that personal which is very silly. The one good thing is our everyday entrance on one side of the house is on the far side away from them so the only time we will have to even look at them is if they happen to be coming or going at the very same time we are. Other than that, the back yard fence will block their view to my yard. Our house is raised so they can't look into my windows either. They have no windows on their side of the house that faces ours which I find weird. Oh well, we're grateful for small miracles. They have a very narrow single drive and no garage so when we put up our fence and take occupancy they won't be able to use our back yard to store the kids rocking horse, etc. and won't be able to park on our grass like they do now. He also likes to walk across my back yard (very cheaky) to take a short cut to the time saver up the road!! We will definitely cramp their style. I guess that's why they decided they'd be moving. Yeppie!!

Davidandkasie~ I am SO sorry for your loss... Trust me, I feel your & your kid's pain! I can't believe ppl! I know it would kill me to knock on someone's door & tell them I just hit their pet, but I would do it b/c that's the right thing to do! I can't believe how some ppl are so careless about other ppl's feelings. That was something I was/am thankful for (if it's possible to be thankful in a time like this)... that I didn't have to go search for my dog and that I found him... I can't imagine not being able to find a pet & not knowing what happened to it, having that tiny bit of hope that it would one day return. I was also glad I could be there w/ him when he took his last breath. That had to be difficult telling your kids about it... I'm glad I didn't have to worry about that (no kids yet). I'm so sorry for them, b/c I'm sure the little one doesn't completely understand about death and it's probably really confusing that one minute he's there, then the next he's gone... and the older one, I know how he feels, Coffey had became my constant companion and slept in the bed w/ me every night when my fiance was gone & was there every morning when I woke up and was constantly at my feet following me around, so, I understand, it's hard to lose something that had always been there. I guess that saying is true: "You never really realize what you've got until it's gone." I know that I can't ever replace Coffey, he was definitly one of a kind. Bailey & I do still miss Coffey very much, but I can see improvement in each of us. It will just take time. And, although eventually I will probably want to get another "little brother or sister" for Bailey, I just feel like it's too soon overall. I'm afraid Bailey might not adapt well since it's only been 1 1/2 weeks since Coffey's death and I'm afraid that I might expect too much out of a new dog, so I just feel like now isn't the time. I will know when the time is right. Also, my fiance & I & Bailey will be moving soon and I honestly don't know if I would have the time to train a puppy right now. I have, however, thought about going to a shelter for a puppy. This has made me angry though, looking @ PetFinder.com... We had a special puppy that was WANTED and in a good and loving home and he had to be taken from us, same goes for Davidandkasie, and then, there are all of these dogs out there that are neglected or abused and just plain UNWANTED and just sitting there. It is so unfair how the world works! (Not that I am wishing death on any animal, but it just doesn't seem right how that works out.) Anyway, I'll get off my soap box now. Hey Calamity, I'm Canadian too! Slow, I think I would have to go check out a place called Electric Cowboy. You have far more get up and go than I do. You are so lucky to have found a handyman who will work in "bits and pieces" they are almost impossible to find here - doing good work at a fair price, in small "bits and pieces". We have HUGE bits and pieces coming, I found a great guy to do our whole renovation. We tried to have a yard sale this weekend. We had GREAT STUFF, but nobody came. The weather was "cold" at 55 degrees!! All that work to set everything up, then I had to pack it all into the van (I was determined to get it in there at one load) and we took it to the thrift store. Hubby spent the weekend dismantling an entire metal kitchen set from the 40's in which every element had been painted on several times. The patience that man displayed. I'd have been bored out of my TREE! But every plastic, chrome or bakelite piece had to be removed for stripping and powder coating or re-chroming. They did not tell us this until we got it all the way out to the coaters!! So back home again to take it all apart. I think I would have rather gone country dancing, lol :) GGG
