discepancy on late DL bloom time info

I'm still looking for late daylilies. I have the Ollalie catalog but nothing thrills me enough to buy...yet. I'm not sure if I should buy something JUST because it blooms late, if I'm not crazy about the form. I've been surfing catalogs online and checking bloom times. I then usually copy the name into Tinker's to get another pic and more data.

What I've found is often disagreement on bloom time! So who do I believe? The one I was just on, was a Minnesota grower. Could it be that what they call "late" blooms EM elsewhere? To me there's a huge difference between calling something LATE and then it actually being EM! Unless late is a rebloom. (I've never had rebloom on anything, but then I don't have a huge collection.) I'm in northern Illinois, zone 5: maybe a little warmer than Minnesota
