Why Can't I See Phil's Pictures

This is just so frustrating. I can see everyone else' pictures. All I see in Phil's posting is a little box that says 'photobucket'. When I click on that it opens photo bucket but still NO pictures. I see the thumbnails on the right side, about 3/4" square, but when I click on those nothing. GRRRRRRR.......

Is this only happening to me, and why just Phil's? Does anybody have any ideas?

It is the same with me. I gave up trying to see his pictures.

I too asked that question, albeit in a slightly different form in a recent post. I understand it is partly because the photos are removed from photobucket by the owner. There was a thread last year I think about this self same thing!
Is there, perhaps, another more technical reason?
I am compulsively going throught the 67 pages of posts and I too am frustrated by the, apparently, beautiful pictures that are no longer there!
I find the garden design photos very inspiring, so not to be able to see some of them is disappointing. I also find the photos of particular hostas very helpful as the quality is often better than the older Hosta Library photos, and we can often see the hostas in their mature and immature forms. Different conditions make hostas look different, so the comparison of multipe photos in a thread is invaluable.
So I implore all of you who add photos to posts, please could you leave the links to photobucket for just a little bit longer?

Christopher, I do not think it is that simple. I have been downloading pictures from my iPad for months to the gardenweb.. Only after updating to the new system yesterday have iI and many others had problems. I can download using another browser so the problem is with Safari .not the gardenweb. Marg

I found out it is my firewall that is blocking my photographs from downloading to my computer. Is there a setting in the firewall I can adjust to stop this happening? "Horton"

You likely need Adobe Flash Player - or if you have it perhaps you have an older version. My current version is 11.6.602.180 and I see the program. Edit:- pkponder beat me to it, sorry for a double post offering the same fix. This post was edited by owbist on Sat, Apr 6, 13 at 16:55

To Alexis,and anyone not able to see my pictures. I currently have only ten pictures up for viewing. To any of you looking back over 67 old posts,I have deleted the really old ones. I don't know why you can't see my current pics. I can see them,as usual,so if I can see them,and everyone else sees them,I haven't got a clue! I put them in the post,the same way I have always done it? Phil

Phil, At one time I could see your pictures, but no longer. Even ones you've just posted.

From Another Phil, I'm sorry you can't see them either, but at least I know I'm not alone.

Maybe you can post a direct link to your Photobucket album so that alexis can access your pics that way. Just like this direct link to my album: Don's Photobucket

Don,while your suggestion is probably good,I don't want everyone to be able to see all of my photobucket pics,as there are personal ones there,not of hostas,but all kinds of pics,(not nasty ones,or anything like that),but boring pics of no interest to anyone else! If most everyone else can see them,I don't see a problem,but Alexis is giving me a complex! Lol! I never had this problem before,but Photobucket is always changing their format,so maybe that's it? Can you see my pics,OK? Phil

Oh, Phil, I'm so sorry. I wasn't trying to give you grief. Just wanted to know if anyone else had an issue or if anyone knew how I could fix it. Promise I won't mention it again, unless of course it suddenly fixes it self :-).

Phil - Pics are fine for me.

Looked briefly on Photobucket Forum for info - didn't find, but might ask question there. If I click on your photos I'm taken to your album with 12 hosta pics.

No problem seeing Phil's photos here. I wonder if it has something to do with dial-up v.s. DSL service and the size of the photos? Some forums only let you see photos if you are registered, but here, of course you are registered as you need that to post a message. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Clean the cache on your computer, that should help. I use CCleaner, but there are certainly others out there that are freeware also.....
