My Smith order arrived!

My order arrived from Frank Smith and I was happy with it.

I bought Granny Smith SF and got two SF held together with a twisty tie. Wedding Gown was sold as a DF but mine was a TF. My nice little bonus was Goldenzelle TF -- as I had had the nerve to request for my father.

On ordering, they said they were very sorry but one couldn't request a specific bonus since bonuses were just what Frank laid out, so I told them which ones I did NOT want because I already had them, and they said they COULD see to that. In the end, there must have been Goldenzelle laid out so I got lucky! Pop is just nuts for yellow or orange with a red eye and I'm holding Lava Flow (scape free)and now Goldenzelle for him in my little "quarintine" bed. I think G's eye is brownish red, but anyhoo, he wanted it.

It's about 6am here, and I guess I should wait until dawn to call him, huh?

Is your Pop an early riser?

Check out the Lily Auction by using the keyword Orange Electric. If your Pop does not have this one I think he would like it. I just got it on the LA from ruscar, and when you said what you Pop likes it brought it to mind. Twostooges is offering the one there now and they also have another listing and this is a copy of part of their description "Along with ORANGE ELECTRIC, PAT GARRITY is one of the beacons in the garden". Check their feedback if you are interested. I have no connection with them, nor have I bought from them.

I always liked to find things to please my Pop, too.

You are very blessed to have a father to share your love of gardening. My grandparents loved to garden but they are in God's Garden above. I have very fond memories of their gardens.

Hello Friends, Andrew - I have ordered Tons of Stuff from them and have been so happy each time. I got a 5'-6' Foot Sweetheart Lychee, 5'-6' Foot Purple Caimito, 4'-5' Foot Jaboticaba, a 5' foot "San Pablo" Custard Apple, and a Awesome Pickering Mango tree that is fruiting right now. That is the stuff I bought. As for te Stuff I got for free. I got a Jamaican Strawberry tree which is now almost 7' feet, Barbados Cherry, A Guava, a 6' foot Grumichama Cherry, and a Sensitive Plant, and a couple of others. He really values his customers and wrote the book on customer service. Bo - Yes, I definietly believe in them and the proof is in the pudding. He really delivers and the product speaks for itself. He will do whatever to make you happy. Ask for some pictures so you will get exactly what you want and expect, and so there won't be any problems. Mickey is very happy to do so. Your Comice de Tarn-et -garonne is gorgeous, Micheal! Thank you for posting these pictures. I like seeing what Comice can do. I received a mature Comice from someone this past January, and we had to cut it WAY back to dig it up and transport it home. It’s finally starting to recover from the move. htracyn, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed! They look so healthy, and Palatine Roses are superior quality! I waited too long, and by the time I decided to order for 2021, they were sold out of everything I wanted. Hopefully I won’t let that happen again. First year I’ve missed since 2014. take a ballpoint pen and write the name on the tallest leaf remove from bags ... tape if tall dig one hole in shade ... put them all in one hole .. water them in ... done.. its called healing them in ... rely on mother earth.. rather than DH ... not in plastic.. not in vases.. not in water.. not in the house .... crikey.. why make it harder than need be ... by pampering them .. ken
