Freezer Jam Questions

I know freezer jam doesn't last too long once opened. The main reason I make it is because of the heat in the house with water bathing. I am hoping to buy an outdoor burner.

Anyhow, if I cooked the jam first, and then froze it, would it last longer? How would this affect the set? Would I use a cooked jam recipe or freezer jam recipe?

Also, can you cook freezer jam after you've already frozen it and can it at a later time?

Thanks for helping out a newbie!
