Your daylily does sounds very interesting and Wild Horses is beautiful. Another for my wish list. I don't drive bc of a medical condition so I am always scanning yards for flowers and garden junk. I have seen several yards I would love to stop at but DH is a prude and won't hear of it.

Hmm - both excellent suggestions. Wild Horses has been on "my list" for a while, so even if it's not the one, it may be time to get it! I'm inclined to think that Nefertiti is closer - hadn't thought of that one (and it's a Munson - even more of a draw!) From the road it really looked like the eye was blood red. I thought of Todd Monroe, but the shape and size were all wrong. And, of course, it was just an impression.

So Many Stars is definitely another possibility - the shape of the eyezone is certainly right, although my impression was that it was redder.

Since I'm only working from a memory of a glimpse, apparently I'll just have to get all of these, don't you think?

Verygood idea, Elizabeth. Just get them all and maybe you will get the right one.. So Many Stars was quite dark for me although the eye isn't as big as WH, it was more eye catching in the garden because of the clump blooms. I can't find the clump pic but do have a single bloom here!!...Ellie

Anybody ordered from Vermont Flower Farm? It has Nefertiti for $10.75. (but there's a $25 minimum order.) It has no rating on Garden Watchdog.

I hadn't heard of them and just checked their web site. Their prices look really out-of-whack ($12.75 for a daylily that normally costs $5). I guess it depends on how badly you want that Nefertiti . . . :o)

I know, Vermont Flower Farm really looks like it's a more general annual/perennial nursery, rather than really knowledgeable about DLs. But they do have Nefertiti... I'll mull it over.
