A Few More Rebloomers

There is one new DL that I have not posted, plus some I just wanted everyone to see because they looked so good with much cooler temps and an overcast sky. Avedon

Double Dixie---on a very short scape, but there are four scapes of them.

"Bold Tiger Lookalike" LFO, unless it begins to put up new scapes.

Leebea Orange Crush--the color is so much richer since it has cooled down.

Ditto Final Touch--the color so different from hot temps. Took this pic about 8:00 this morning, when it was in the low 60's.

Christening Spirit--LFO and the last one has definitely been the best one.

Speaking of last, this is the last pic and I think it is great--Beautiful Edgings just looked as if it was posing for the camera.

You are getting lots of bloom lste. I love FINAL TOUCH and BEAUTIFUL EDGINGS.More photod for us to look at :)

You have so much still blooming! Usually Beautiful Edgings reblooms here, but so far, nothing. Yours is looking so pretty,it really is perfect for a photo.

Thanks all....more rebloom from today. Just look at the scapes and buds on CH. I counted 7 rebloom scapes. CF was new this spring...had good bloom and now rebloom. This one just never stops..a little beauty for sure. Got some Munsons reblooming too, but I'll put them in a separate thread. Jan

NANO PROBE is really tiny, the blooms can't be much over 2" in size - it is really cute with great color. It took a while to become established here - this is maybe its third year. MICRO DOTS must do well for a lot of people. It won the Fl Sunshine Cup this year at National Convention. It actually has scapes that are a bit taller but it is at the front of a mini bed here. Scapes might be about 22" ( w/o checking the registration data. Both have really good plant habits!

It just hit me, but the name is not Subtle Knife, but Sailing at Dawn. I apparently was having brain blips that day, and I see no way to edit it now. Sailing at Dawn has rebloomed for me before, so it seems to be a pretty good rebloomed here. It is a SEV, so I don't know how well it will do for you. I looked at photos on that other site, most don't look as purple as mine, but it always looks more purple to me. However, it can occasionally be splotchy, so it might be worse for you, Alex.

Kate - Armed to the Teeth is like Private Selection here. Most of the blooms are splotchy, but when you get a clean one, it's a definite wow. Celeste - I have several Emmerich purples, but I think Blood of Martyrs is the very best one I've seen. Sherry - Yes, Blood of the Martyr wants to keep blooming. Who knows if it will ever do this again? It was likely heavily fertilized by Emmerich, and then it got fertilzed again by me. Bat King seems to open well, but sometimes it's splotchy. I don't like it as well as my other purple toothy cultivars. I bought it mainly for hybridizing reasons, but it has weak pollen and hasn't been able to keep a pod. Debra

You have some really nice looking blooms I especially like Beautiful Edgings I don't think it ever as a bad bloom, what a great DL. I'm jealous of your cooler weather I still have a ways to go before it cools down here.

Always wonderful to be getting blooms in late August. No one favorite, I like them all.

Thanks, everyone, I am really happy to be able to put up a few more pictures, especially the one of Beautiful Edgings. Now, about the well--it was essentially finished a couple of weeks ago on August 6th; that's the day the water was piped into the house, and all the other plumbing set up so we can use both wells with a shut-off system. That was very important. In fact, my husband was using the old well a couple of days ago to water plants, and it has no effect on the water in the house. Now, we are in the process of building a wellhouse. It's just the two of us doing the work, so this may take awhile. I will take some pictures in a day or two and post them so you can see what's going on. Avedon
