Caribbean Rose Petit

Does anyone have a picture of this daylily? I am trying to identify it in my garden. I purchased it many years ago and am trying to re-label. You can stamp something across the photo if you don't want someone to use it inappropiately. I just want to find my flower!

I can't help you with pictures, as I don't grow it. However, I did an online search for you, starting with the AHS database. The plant is CARIBBEAN ROSE PETITE ("Petite" with e on the end), and using the correct spelling gives you a few online sources. No pictures, but you might contact one of the sources next year, when there presumably will be pictures.

Hint to all....I see many questions about cultivars that could conceivably be answered by checking the AHS database first. This is a great source for info on cultivar stats!

Petite de Holland is the only one I've seen, and it was at least 5 ft at Mike Lowe's. It could be a front of the border plant, but it would be a pretty tall border. Pompon de Bourgoyne is small, but it doesn't bloom with everything else. From a use standpoint, consider it a Scots rose, because that's what it 'feels' like.

Thank you Carla and Joey for sharing your Le Petit Prince. Joey: that's so interesting about charcoal, I will have to remember that tip. I hope mine stay short. It keeps wanting to go wide though. Agreed that it does well in a vase and color becomes more lilac/lavender as the blooms age.
