Prince Of Midnight is a stunner with that dark coloring and the almost white watermark. And I just love, love Bold Symphony too. That pink color is great and I think the midribs just fancy it up even more. Its warm today here too, much more so than lately. Still not as bad as some parts of the country. Guess its really summer so I shouldn't complain.

I like 1,3,4,5. I love the color of 1 & 3. #3 has everything I like, nice color, slight ruffling, white pencil line edge and green throat. I don't like the wide eye zones, the one here seems to just fit the daylily. Marg

I grow 2 of Judy's daylilies . Osterized is a gorgeous yellow and does quite well in the harsh climate we have here in extreme Southern Ontario . It has survived 30 degrees celcius below and 37 degrees celcius above and both severely wet and ground cracking drought and still blooms its little heart out . And I also grow one of her unnamed seedlings . I have given it a garden name and it also does well here which I find unbelieveable considering our so called soil is a very heavy blue clay so when I say ground cracking drought, I mean the ground here makes cracks that you can lose your foot in come August most years . FruitCat - My baby one (which has only been in a decent place for 1 1/2 years), is planted in a small clearing which is surrounded by BIG trees and bushes. It probably only gets 2-3 hours of dappled sun a day. When we planted it it was only about 2 feet high and got less. Now it is 7 feet high, and going UP. Is the place you are contemplating completely in shade, with no direct sun ever? Mine was planted in that sort of place (no sun at all, but bright shade) for 3-4 years. What it did was only get about 4 feet high, creeping up the huge trunk of an 80 foot tall oak tree, and only put out 4-5 miniature blooms a year. If you can plant it so that the sun hits it sometimes, I do think it would keep going up - it is very near to a wild rose, and that is what they do. Jackie
