Tuesday Bloomers are first and last flowers

I have Four First Flowers Open to post and some last flowers. I figgured I had better get pictures of those last flowers as that is it for them for the year. Also a first bloom on a new rebloom. Then I couldn't resist those last clump shots I took as they just looked extra great today. The sun goes in and out but at least things are drier today.

VT Type Alpha is gorgeous! And I do intend on getting Dancing W/Sandra this fall.

Julia, no your memory is correct. Riot On the Kindergarden Bus does twist in all sorts of unusual shapes. I was surprised to see this FFO had more standard form but some of them are curving back and I know that the next flowers will be more curving. Guess it needs to just get stated LOL! I don't know about taller. I was just noticing that many of my daylilies have shorter scapes this year and I don't know why. Certainly wasn't lack of rain and they haven't been moved in a long time. Andrea and Nancy- Thanks. That The Fairy rose has small blooms and starts blooming somewhat later than the usual June Flush but it is a trooper. Once it starts it is good to go until frost. It loves to sprawl so the hill off the patio is a great spot for it.

Linda, thanks. For some reason I forgot to get pictures of MONTANA MISS until the very last flower. Nancy, it is hot and the daylily folliage is really looking ratty these days. I have a big sprinkler out watering to try and do some good. I love the bumblebees, they never bother me and I never bother them. Plus we have had lots of honeybeees here this year also. Chris, I am glad you like the bee photo. It is about the best I can do. I usually plant spring sugar snap peas or scarlett runner beans and some sort of blue annual salvia there together in that spot. I like the way it looks together and the Salvia always outlasts the viner.

Rita, no japanese beetles on your roses? I can't photograph mine anymore...I cut all the buds off in frustration. JB season runs from the first week of July til frost, or in other words, all season. I love my roses but I am about to give up! Anyway, I am finding even greater love for daylilies as I watch the JB's and the red lily beetles devour all my roses and lilies. Good thing I took lots of photos of my roses in June because all I get to enjoy is about 3 weeks. I especially like 'Magic Crystal' and 'Pinhill Claret Symphony' for the color. I like that you have some late-bloomers so we can all enjoy them! I'm still planning on getting some lates from Ollalie's, but I haven't decided which ones yet. Celeste, We have been getting lots of rain. Rain every day at least part of the day or overnight. The plants love it, they are growing like it was a tropical jungle. Actually it feels like a tropical jungle with the heat and very, very high humidity. Chris, not quit full swing yet but within a day or two. The garden is looking good in those daylily beds. Debra, I have only had a very few cherry tomatoes ripe. Too early for the large tomatoes still yet. Thank you everyone for you nice comments. I am enjoying taking pictures!

njmomma and all, DANCING WITH SANDRA is a great daylily.

Avedon, VT TYPE ALPHA is really a simple flower but it is the most gorgeous shade of true pink.

Of course, I love Dancing with Sandra, and A Friend to All, but the first flower of VT type Alpha is a beautiful shade too.

I always like Dancing with Sandra, so I'm going to pick something else today. Won't be hard. I like A FRIEND TO ALL, your No ID, LUMAR EMPIRE, & End of Season. You are my sunshine looks good too, and... better stop there I guess. I should never look back over them, they look even better each time I look.

Kay, I love VT TYPE ALPHA because it just is the most perfect shade of pink.

wow, that END OF SEASON clump is gorgeous,Its really pretty.Now a question, what color do you call that NO ID one.I cant figure out what color it is.DANCING WITH SANDRA is a beauty, too. Very pretty.

Chris, I have had that NO ID long, long before I ever got the daylily crazies.

Annie, It really is very colorful around here, especially when the main season daylilies bloom as I have lots of them and I love vivid colors.

How cool to have more flowers starting now!
Love that first late - VT Type Alpha. Love the clump of End of Season too. You Are My Sunshine is one of my favorite color combinations and I love it too. And both last yellows :)
