SUNSHINY yellow blooms.. an id (finally) and other glorious pics

HURRAH!!!! I was able to upload today and actually had a few things to share, although I was racing to just get pics so my lighting wasn't well done. So, maybe not "glorious" pics, but I had sugar in my cornflakes, this a.m. What can I say. :)

This is either Cupid's Cupcake or Tommy Lee Joiner.(thought I'd try to stay in consistent form, with my poor labeling. LOL)

A polka-dotless Marietta Polka-dot. The very high heat made them vanish, but I still oohed and ahhed over it!

I have absolutely no clue what this is.. Could it be my missing "Aunt Leona"? It opened and I was like "Well, lookit that!"

Yellow Pinwheel (an oldie, but these HUGE, happy yellow flowers)

A glazed container with variegated ipomeoa vine, MY Heart Belongs to Daddy daylily (new, so no blooms this year), and a coleus.

And my Thalictrum "Koreana" .. this plant makes my heart happy. It's a huge, purple fairy haze that lasts for a few weeks.

"Till the END of TIME" (Yes.. and here I thought it had the word "love" in it.) .. I saw it on the LA and thought joyously "THAT's IT!)

Well now everything is beautiful and really looks lovely. Your containers look great. I love that Marietta Polka-dot even without it's polka dots! I also really like Yellow Pinwheel. Looks great in a clump like that.

Last night while I was browsing the internet, I came across Fuzzy's listing for plastic pink. I clicked it and thought it looks like mine so I went to flickr to search for more plastic pinks an I found this picture: Plumeria Plastic Pink , which it looks like an extact carbon copy of mine plus mine fits all the characteristics that Daves Garden lists except for the scent which I'm not to sure on yet. So I think it is indeed a Plastic Pink, weird though because I was eye ballin' that cultivar a month or so ago. LOL :)

Mary...I think plumeria-growing is a lesson in patience, and anyone who masters it, deserves both- the glorious bloom and bragging rights :) I don't have a cell phone that takes pictures, or a computer that I can upload pictures on, so I understand the frustration of not being able to share pictures of our plants...but this forum is still a wondeful place to visit and enjoy the flowers of others...

Mona, Thank you for the compliment :-) Will look forward to returning the compliment when your CE blooms! It is a wonderful flower, I'm more enamored every day. Regarding Divine: this tree is 3 years old now. It did bloom last year but this year's output is definitely "supersized" compared to last year--both the inflos and the individual flowers are much larger. Me likey :) Also, I noticed your question as to Thumbalina's scent. I find it quite attractive--I describe it as a fine-perfume smell. Mine is a new addition to my collection this season, but it's already a definite keeper in my book. Very unique tree, all the way around. Two thumbs up from this hobbyist. I wish I had Easy Going, it looks like a beauty, but my yellow has no peach, amber or pink veining or undertones. It's egg-yolk yellow and simply pales to lemon-cream with age. My main regret is that it blows too quickly to a very open, unattractive form. This describes my 'Easy Going'. Actually "the light green shiny foliage" comment makes me lean towards EG, also the growth habit of your standard. Livin Easy, Easy Going, and the offspring Hot Cocoa have very distinctive foliage, prickles, canes, and growth habit. What makes ID trickier in your case that you are in Europe, where there are cultivars we don't have here. Easy Going and Livin Easy are very popular as standards here--whether or not that is true in France, I have no idea. Usually though standard roses, which are much more expensive than the regular ones, are less apt to be an obscure variety because of the extra expense. So look at very common cultivars. Have you looked at Sunsprite and Sunflare? Might also be one of those. Easy Going foliage:

Thanks, Nancy and Rita :) I was so amused by M. Polka-dot 's change, and very happy with these flowers this year.
I love that thalictrum- the leaves are pretty and structural, even when not in bloom.

Wow.TILL THE END OF TIME is so pretty and bright.I also like the POLKA DOT one with no Polka dots.Thats real pretty.

Vickie, I love how the little white petunias are weaving through the plant- I may try to do that on purpose next year. What a great pic! Thanks for confirming the id for me. :))
Jean, it is very pretty and the color is very saturated, but a tad more pink than the bright coral my monitor is showing :)
Thanks, Cindy :) It is nice to ocassionally know what I'm growing. LOL I grow so many plants in containers, so I'm really trying to partner things with pretty leaves or textures, so when one isn't blooming, the area still looks nice. :)

Lots of nice blooms, but Tile the End of Time is my favorite. The Thalictrum is very pretty--so delicate looking.

All daylilies are pretty! My favorite is Marietta Polka-dot. I have a couple containers with shady flowers now too (our neighbors gave us) but except for begonia I'm not sure what I'm growing.

Val, that Thalictrum is one of my all time favorite plants. Id have a whole froth of them in back of the border, if I actually had a border ;) This one actually snapped off a big piece of the stalk and it still put out this many blooms.
I have 2 seed pods on Till the End of time, so I'll be excited to see what those look like. :)

You have some really pretty blooms! The double one is yummy-looking and I think Marietta Polka-dotless is outstanding.
Til the End of Time is wonderful and striking. I will be on the lookout for that one.
